What do the Democrats want from Israel?

Senate Democrats haven’t turned on the Jewish state because the Netanyahu government is reckless. It’s because they fear a party base of deluded antisemites.

The headline published by the far-left outlet The Intercept was spot on, even if most of the information in its article was slanted or downright false. In declaring that, “The Dam Breaks: Democratic Senators Overwhelmingly Reject Arms Sales to Israel,” the rabidly anti-Israel publication said nothing less than the truth. In the last year, the last vestiges of pro-Israel sentiment in the Democratic Party have more or less collapsed.

Omar forces a difficult choice for Jewish Democrats

Fear of being accused of racism and Islamophobia caused the majority of the caucus to refuse to condemn her analogizing Israel and the United States to Hamas and the Taliban.

(June 10, 2021 / JNS) After a surge in violent anti-Semitism inspired in no small part by vicious attacks on Israel by members of their party’s left-wing, some Jewish Democrats have had enough. After Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) compared the United States and Israel to Hamas and the Taliban, the 25 Jewish members of the House of Representatives who are Democrats (two others are Republicans), met informally. Their discussion focused on whether it was time to rebuke Omar by

On Radio Show, Ocasio-Cortez Agrees with Host Who Says Israel is ‘Criminal’

She also endorsed the anti-Israel progressive group IfNotNow, saying it is “amazing” and “organizing for justice.”
By JNS

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) agreed on Tuesday with a New York radio host, saying that what’s happening in Israel is “very criminal.”

“Now you look around the globe and you have multiple corrupt governments working together—you’ve got Israel, you’ve got America, you’ve got Russia, you’ve got the Saudis, right—all working in concert. And I bring up Israel because you’ve been vocal about Palestine, the occupation and what needs to go on there. And specifically, I even think people in Israel are trying to get Netanyahu as well,” asked “Ebro in the Morning” host Ebro Darden.
