Miki Zohar: 'We’ll never support a Palestinian state'

The coalition chairman addressed Netanyahu's public pledge to engage in negotiation with the Palestinians on the basis of Trump’s peace plan, which calls for a Palestinian state.

This government and this Knesset will never vote to support the creation of a Palestinian state, coalition chairman Miki Zohar said as he visited the Sovereignty Movement’s protest tent in front of the Knesset.

“With God’s help, we will apply sovereignty over the entire Land of Israel, at first in coordination with the American plan, over at least part of Judea and Samaria, but there is no way that we will allow the government or the Knesset to recognize the

Netanyahu may end de facto settler freeze, allow plans for 5,000 homes

The move comes in the aftermath of a Channel 12 poll that showed Netanyahu’s Likud party had dropped to 29 mandates, compared to the 36 mandates it had received in the March elections.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is expected to end the de facto freeze on settler housing approvals by convening the Higher Planning Council for Judea and Samaria, which has been dormant for the last eight months, according to settler reports.

The move comes in the aftermath of a Channel 12 poll that showed Netanyahu’s Likud Party had dropped to 29 mandates, compared to the 36 mandates it had received in the March elections.

It wouldn’t have happened without Trump

Only an administration staffed by amateurs who didn’t play by the rules could have orchestrated the Abraham Accords. Don’t expect the Democrats to build on this success.

(September 16, 2020 / JNS) The gala signing of the normalization agreements between Israel and the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain was a bitter pill for the diplomatic establishment to swallow. The people who are counting on taking back control of American foreign policy after a Joe Biden victory in November could only look on with dismay as President Donald Trump presided over the sort of ceremony that they would have liked to have pulled off, but failed to do so when they had the chance.

Sovereignty in the Face of International Pressure

BESA Center Perspectives Paper No. 1,633, July 9, 2020

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: At critical junctures a national leadership should be expected to uphold its country’s sovereign right to pursue its own vital interests, even in the face of heavy international pressure.

A basic gap exists between sovereignty as an idea and sovereignty as it is practically exercised. As a projection of the sovereignty of God, which represents absolute and limitless rule, from time immemorial autocrats have sought to cast

Jewish think tank urges US to support Israeli sovereignty in Jordan Valley

“The Valley’s depth creates a formidable barrier and provides a far more defensible boundary than the so-called Green Line, or pre-1967 line, especially in the current geostrategic context of an increasingly violent and unpredictable Middle East,” states a report issued by JINSA.

(June 26, 2020 / JNS) As the debate over whether or not Israel should apply sovereignty to parts of Judea and Samaria intensifies as the proposed July timeline for instituting the decision approaches, a new report by the Jewish Institute for National Security of America (JINSA) says that the extension of Israeli sovereignty in the Jordan Valley would actually “advance” U.S. national security interests.

The West Bank’s Status Quo is More Dangerous than Applying Sovereignty

BESA Center Perspectives Paper No. 1,610, June 19, 2020

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: Contrary to the alarming charge that the application of sovereignty over parts of the West Bank would transform Israel into a binational state, doing so would not affect 95% of the West Bankers who have been living under the rule of the Palestinian Authority since January 1996. They will continue to do so. The move does entail political risks, but they are smaller than the security hazards that would

British experts, leaders respond to Israel’s sovereignty plan

They say most Jews in the United Kingdom believe the land is Israel’s historically and legally, and acknowledge that Israel is a competent democracy that has the right to make its own decisions.

(June 19, 2020 / JNS) Ahead of Israel’s planned application of sovereignty in Judea and Samaria starting on July 1, British experts and Jewish leaders spoke out about their support for Israel’s claim and right of sovereignty in the land, and the Jewish state’s democratic decision to carry out its policies.

Retired British army officer Col. Richard Kemp challenged the assertion that Israel’s proposed action would be a violation of

Annexation Now: What is Netanyahu up to?

Why is this most calculating of politicians so ostensibly determined to unilaterally expand Israeli sovereignty into the territories, when the dire potential downside is so clear?

Whenever Israel’s knee-jerk critics around the world are salivating at the prospect of an imminent development, it’s a safe bet that this development is bad news for Israel. Likewise, if the regime in Iran can’t believe its good fortune. Similarly, if the boycott-Israel movement feels the wind beneath its wings.

Christian leader answers the most heated question of our time

CUFI Founder and Chairman Pastor John Hagee has a message for Christians. And from a Christian leader like Pastor Hagee, this holds great importance.

Christian Leader Broadcasts Truth

Maybe many Christians already knew what Pastor Hagee said, but it is obvious that many did not. Otherwise, a Christian leader like him would not have made a video broadcasting such a message to his Christian followers.
