(October 15, 2021 / JNS) By the time newly minted Israeli Shira Denise Kilemnic Mac and her husband, Abraham, along with their two youngsters, stepped off the plane in Tel Aviv’s Ben-Gurion International Airport on July 22, her reputation had preceded her by a full six months.

160 new immigrants from France arrive in Israel amid surge in ‘aliyah’

This particular group included doctors, lawyers, teachers, engineers, media professionals and 46 young people under the age of 18.

(July 21, 2021 / JNS) A group of 160 new French immigrants to Israel arrived at Ben-Gurion International Airport on Wednesday aboard a special aliyah flight from Paris organized by the Jewish Agency for Israel, and Israel’s Ministry of Aliyah and Integration.

Funcionarios del Ministerio de Absorción en Israel informan que en las últimas semanas, no menos de 60,000 israelíes que viven en el extranjero han expresado su interés en regresar a casa pronto.

“Hay un despertar entre los israelíes que viven en el extranjero”, dijeron los funcionarios.

El presidente de la Agencia Judía, Isaac Herzog, dijo a Makor Rishon el jueves que anticipaba “una gran ola de inmigración a Israel cuando termine la crisis del coronavirus, como ha sucedido históricamente en las comunidades judías de todo el mundo después de muchas crisis desde el establecimiento del estado”, publica Jewish Press.

Following last week’s Torah reading of “Lech Lecha (Go For Your Own Sake),” when God commands the patriarch Abraham to leave his country of birth and go to the Land of Israel, a growing group of respected educators and rabbis made videos encouraging Jews to return “home.” The series, like the organization, is titled, “Bring Them Home.”

To push aliyah, the Absorption Ministry is making up fake immigrants

Office responsible for encouraging and assisting in immigration apparently routinely invents success stories, using fictitious names and stock image photos.

Until Thursday, the Ministry of Absorption and Immigration’s Twitter page was filled with pictures of grinning immigrants talking about how they’ve successfully established a life in Israel, despite the hardships of the move.

The only problem: They are not real. Not only are the photographs stock images, but the purported immigrants and their quotes were made up.
