‘Double standard’ in Mamdani saying Israel can’t be Jewish while embracing many Muslim states, experts say

“He’s tried to find that middle ground, where he can give a wink and a nod to those kinds of very violent extremist rhetoric, but without being forced to condemn it,” David May, of FDD, told JNS.

(June 30, 2026 / JNS)  On Sunday, Zohran Mamdani, mayor of New York City, told Jonathan Karl of ABC that he supports Israel as a “state with equal rights,” but “any state that privileges one religion over the other is one that I can’t tell you I support.”

“Whether it be Israel or Saudi Arabia or anywhere else,” added the mayor, who has said that he would have the Israeli prime minister arrested in New York City and whose spokeswoman said that synagogues violate international law when they

Jordanian textbooks ‘justify 7 October massacre and promote antisemitism’

IMPACT-se finds ‘worsening extremism’ in curriculum despite claims of moderation.

A new report has found Jordan’s official school textbooks justify the Hamas massacre of 7 October, promote antisemitic tropes and glorify violent jihad, despite government claims of promoting religious tolerance.

The review by IMPACT-se examined nearly 300 textbooks used in Jordanian schools during the 2023-25 academic years. It found that a Grade 10 Civic Education textbook described the 7 October attacks as a response to Israeli “colonies”, referring to civilian communities within Israel, and failed to mention the mass killing and kidnapping of civilians.

Jerusalem, the Heavy Stone

It is difficult not to discern in our time the “last days” announced by the prophets. More than ever, Jerusalem appears as “the heavy stone,” according to the word of Zechariah: “I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all peoples; all who lift it will surely injure themselves” (Zech. 12:3).

This word is strikingly relevant today. All nations are concerned—not only Israel’s declared enemies. The “wound” does not come from any aggression on Jerusalem’s part, but from the persistent attempt of the nations to redefine or control it. In reality, they are the ones who wound themselves.

The caliphate will be televised, and the West will fall – opinion

In attacking Israel, Europe has quite possibly mortgaged its own future in a breathtaking form of self-sabotage.

There are some ideas so unthinkable, so preposterous, that they are dismissed with a chuckle and a wave of the hand. That is, until they happen.

One such notion: the declaration of a caliphate, not in the dusty expanses of the Middle East, but here – amid the boulevards and bookshops of Europe. A preposterous idea, surely. Like a bishop moonlighting as a nightclub bouncer. And yet, here we are.
