The ministerial committee for military acquisitions signed off on the purchase of another squadron’s worth of F-35 fighter jets, as well as four Boeing KC-46 refueling planes and advanced missiles and bombs on Tuesday, following government approval last week for a contentious funding scheme to pay for the equipment involving massive loans from the United States, the government said.

The approval for the purchases came after some three years of requests from the military for the equipment, which was held up due to political squabbles and fights

Dershowitz’s war for the truth

An interview with professor Alan Dershowitz, one of the most famous criminal lawyers in the world, on the fight of his life. “If you’ve been falsely accused and you have nothing to hide, your life is an open book, you have to fight back, and I'm fighting back.”

(October 12, 2020 / Israel Hayom) A couple of weeks ago, former Israeli Health Ministry Director-General Yoram Lass began his weekly radio show with a resounding apology to American legal scholar Alan Dershowitz. In a conversation with a listener on Sept. 10, Lass had said that Dershowitz “raped girls along with Jeffrey Epstein. He actually raped girls. He’s a rapist, and admitted it himself.” Dershowitz did not hesitate. Within days, he filed a slander lawsuit against Lass and Radio FM103 in the Tel Aviv District Court, seeking NIS 4 million (nearly $1.18

Analysis. Netanyahu's Strategy at Play: Go Into an Election With the Whole World Against Him.

Credit: Amos Biderman

Even Benny Gantz realizes this, and he and Naftali Bennett are each crafting strategies of their own, as Bibi attacks the law enforcement system.
Yossi Verter.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made two big commitments: He signed the agreement concerning conflicts of interests that the attorney general put before him, and he established a reconciliation cabinet. There may not seem to be a connection between the two, but there is, in a big way. In the midst of his glaring conflict of interests, Netanyahu the defendant will keep using all his governmental and political might against the judiciary.

He has never had any intention of fostering “reconciliation” or falling into line with expectations of the top elected official. He only knows how to look out for himself,

The Oslo blood libel is over

From 1994 through 1996, as a captain in the IDF, I served as a member of Israel’s negotiating team with the PLO. Those years were the heyday of the so-called peace process. As the coordinator of negotiations on civil affairs for the Coordinator of Government Activities in Judea, Samaria and Gaza, I participated in all of the negotiating sessions with the Palestinians that led to a half a dozen or so of agreements, including the Interim or Oslo B agreement from September 28, 1995, which transferred civil and military authorities in Judea and Samaria to the PLO.

The reign of the prosecutors

In Israel Thursday morning, the politicians were the big story. Israel Beitenu chairman Avigdor Liberman was the villain who had held the country hostage for nearly a year as he fed his narcissistic personality disorder.

The left’s latest flagship, the Blue and White party is all the once vibrant political camp can put together now that it has lost its ideology. With its god of peace killed by suicide bombers and missiles, and its socialism statues crushed under the weight of bankrupt government companies, all the left has left is Blue and White. The party stands on two planks – destroying Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and eternalizing the regime of Israel’s unelected bureaucrats.
