Iran has ordered thousands of tons of ballistic missile ingredients from China as part of an effort to rebuild its military capabilities while navigating ongoing nuclear talks with the United States, according to a Wall Street Journal report on Thursday, citing sources familiar with the transactions.

The shipments, which are expected to reach Iran in the coming months, include ammonium perchlorate, a key component in the solid propellant used for ballistic missiles. Sources indicated that these materials could potentially fuel hundreds of missiles.

Hamas sees humanitarian aid distribution in Gaza as integral to its role as the governing authority in the enclave, and fears that the loss of oversight would be another step in the organization’s fall from power, says an Arab analyst.

Foundation for Defense of Democracies research fellow Hussain Abdul-Hussain who has largely focused on the situations in Lebanon and Syria as an analyst, recently addressed the competing narratives around the humanitarian aid situation in the Gaza Strip.

The Trump administration is warning Iran of “severe consequences” if it rejects Washington’s nuclear deal proposal, the Wall Street Journal reported on Friday.

“If they don’t accept these terms, it’s not going to be a good day for the Iranians,” an unnamed senior U.S. official told the WSJ.

The U.S. proposal, which is defined as a “term sheet,” is reportedly intended as Washington’s foundation for a broader framework aimed at addressing the Iranian nuclear threat through diplomatic channels.

Israel files second appeal to ICC against arrest warrants

The document, which centers on jurisdiction and procedure, does not mention the allegations against ICC prosecutor Karim Khan.

(May 13, 2025 / JNS)  Israel last week again appealed to the tribunal last week to terminate its arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former defense minister Yoav Gallant.

The document cites procedural issues, namely that the warrants against Netanyahu and former defense minister Yoav Gallant are invalid due to the absence of a conclusive jurisdictional determination by the Pre-Trial Chamber.

In the most significant hit Lebanese terrorist and Iranian proxy group Hezbollah has taken in recent years, in an event that rocked Lebanon, over 3,600 people were wounded throughout the country on Tuesday – a large majority of them Hezbollah members – at around 3:30 p.m., when the pagers that they used to communicate exploded. Additional Hezbollah operatives in Syria and Iraq fell victim to the attack as well.

It’s time to stop lying to ourselves about Qatar

On the one hand, Doha plays a pivotal role in waging the global jihad against the United States and the free world. On the other hand, it showers them with gifts.

(May 29, 2022 / JNS) The news last week that U.S. President Joe Biden has decided not to remove Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps from the State Department’s list of foreign terrorist organizations shouldn’t have come as a very big surprise. A majority of senators oppose removing the largest and most lethal terror group in the world from the list. And if Biden had caved in to Iran’s demand to remove it, he would have endangered the 2015 nuclear deal, which as far as Biden and his advisers are concerned is the be all and end all of their Middle East policy.

Iraq persecutes its heretics

The lot of political dissidents has always been a brutal one, and so there is every reason to fear that a combination of arrests and propaganda will be unleashed to crush the nascent movement for peace with Israel.

(October 1, 2021 / JNS) It has the air of a witch-hunt. Many of the 300 leaders of Iraqi civil society, Sunni and Shi’a, who gathered in the Kurdish region last week for a conference advocating an Iraqi peace accord with the State of Israel, are now the subjects of arrest warrants from the authorities and death threats from Islamist militias.

Iraq’s president and prime minister led the chorus of condemnation, invoking a long-standing law that punishes as traitors those Iraqis who maintain contacts with
