(April 27, 2025 / JNS)  Israel will only agree to a nuclear deal with Iran that eliminates Tehran’s capacity to enrich uranium, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told the JNS International Policy Summit on Sunday.

The only way to prevent the Islamic Republic from building a nuclear weapon is to dismantle “all the infrastructure of Iran’s nuclear program,” he said, adding, “That is the deal.”

El presidente estadounidense, Donald Trump, aseguró que no ha desestimado el plan de Israel de destruir las instalaciones nucleares de Irán, pero dijo no tener prisa al respecto.

“No diría que lo he descartado. No tengo prisa, porque creo que Irán tiene la oportunidad de tener un gran país y vivir feliz sin muerte. Y me gustaría ver eso. Esa es mi primera opción”, dijo en el Despacho Oval de la Casa Blanca junto a la primera ministra italiana, Giorgia Meloni.

Trump: Irán sufrirá bombardeos como nunca antes si no hay un acuerdo nuclear


El presidente de Estados Unidos, Donald Trump, envió otro mensaje amenazante el domingo al régimen iraní, advirtiendo que habría “bombardeos” si la República Islámica no acepta un acuerdo nuclear.

En declaraciones a Meet the Press de la caden NBC, el presidente amenazó con aranceles secundarios y añadió: “Si no llegan a un acuerdo, habrá bombardeos, y serán bombardeos como nunca antes han visto”.

Horas antes el domingo, el presidente iraní, Masoud Pezeshkian, rechazó oficialmente las negociaciones directas con Estados Unidos, en la primera respuesta formal de Irán a una carta del presidente Donald Trump, entregada al Líder Supremo de Irán a través de Omán.

Si bien Pezeshkian dejó abierta la posibilidad de negociaciones indirectas, indicó que estos esfuerzos han avanzado poco desde la retirada unilateral de Trump del acuerdo nuclear de 2015 con las potencias mundiales.

Iran and Saudi Arabia appear to be headed to a new era of relations after rounds of talks in Baghdad and support for reconciliation coming from Oman and China. Reports that the two countries have now reconciled and agreed to normalize relations after years of hostility is important for the region. The news is being greeted positively in Iranian state media and the Gulf.

Antony Blinken expects other countries to sign onto Abraham Accords this year

WASHINGTON (JTA) — Secretary of State Antony Blinken said he anticipates more normalization agreements for Israel in the next year.

Blinken spoke Wednesday evening in Washington, D.C., at the Israeli Embassy’s virtual celebration of that nation’s Independence Day, or Yom Haatzmaut. He was joined virtually by Israel’s U.S. ambassador, Gilad Erdan.

“The United States welcomes and supports the recent normalization agreements,” Blinken said, referring to the Abraham Accords brokered last year by the Trump administration between Israel and four Arab states.

The Israel Export Institute has signed an agreement with the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), one of the region’s leading and significant business networking destinations in the UAE.

The agreement includes cooperation and participation in international conferences and large-scale exhibitions, organizing and exchanging business delegations between the countries, and support in realizing the significant business opportunities that exist in both countries.

Oman welcomed Bahrain’s move to normalize relations with Israel, the Oman News Agency reported on Sunday.

On Friday, Bahrain became only the fourth Arab state to announce full diplomatic relations with Israel, after the United Arab Emirates did so on Aug. 13.
