Salman Rushdie: Palestinian state would become 'Taliban-like,' satellite of Iran

"It's strange that a young progressive student politician supports a fascist terrorist group," said Rushdie about student protesters.

Indian-British author Salman Rushdie warned that while he supports the idea of a separate Palestinian state, such a state now would be "run by Hamas" and would be "Taliban-like," in an interview with the German rbb24 TV channel on Sunday.

Rushdie, who teaches at NYU, said that while he supports the right of students to protest, it's also necessary to ensure that other students are not made to feel

Campus estadounidenses: preparando terroristas

The Israeli university that wants to draw Jews, Arabs and Ethiopians closer together

More Arab-Israelis are calling themselves Palestinians and that is a sign they feel more secure as Israeli citizens, says Hebrew University's Mona Khoury-Kassabri.

Few would argue Israel is not a demographically diverse country.

Gone are the days when one of two camps, Jewish or Arab, was considered enough to determine what kind of an Israeli citizen you are.

These days the phrase is “cultural kaleidoscope”, although a bit of a cliché, is more appropriate to explain how this is a country that is home to a mix of ethnicities and cultures.

Pastor John Hagee: Begin was ‘heroic’ to bomb Iraqi reactor, Iran ‘even more dangerous’

He also discussed young evangelicals, the battle against anti-Semitism, the right for Israeli sovereignty and the arrival of Ukrainian refugees while he was in the country to receive multiple awards for his longtime work on behalf of Israel and Diaspora Jews.

(March 16, 2022 / JNS) One of America’s most powerful Christian supporters of Israel sees clear similarities between Iran’s race towards nuclear weapons and a daring Israeli strike on an Iraqi nuclear reactor back in 1981.

In a wide-ranging interview, Pastor John Hagee, founder and chairman of Christians United for Israel (CUFI) and his own John Hagee Ministries, told JNS that “there’s an exact parallel. If anything, the parallel today is even more dangerous.”

MADRID (JTA) — After taking criticism from several Holocaust scholars and Jewish organizations, a Spanish university has canceled a course titled “Auschwitz/Gaza: A Testing Ground for Comparative Literature,” according to the European Jewish Congress.

The course at the University of of Santiago of de Compostela in Galicia trivialized the Holocaust by comparing it to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, Jewish groups argued. The Simon Wiesenthal Center condemned the seminar in a letter sent Monday to Spain’s minister of universities, Manuel Castells Oliván.

Israel education needed, but can it be trusted?

Students, especially self-described liberals, wanted to look at the issues in a Tevye-like fashion—on the one hand, Palestinians do bad things, but, on the other, so do the Israelis—even if the facts are not symmetrical.

(July 21, 2021 / JNS) The latest cause for Jewish hyperventilation is the publication of a Jewish Electoral Institute (JEI) survey that reported that 38 percent of American Jews are not emotionally attached to Israel, that 25 percent (38 percent of those under 40) think Israel is an apartheid state, that 22 percent feel Israel is committing genocide against Palestinians, and that 9 percent (20 percent under 40) believe that Israel doesn’t have the right to exist (and 17 percent say it’s not anti-Semitic to say so). Even if the results are skewed, they indicate the epic

Image via website of the Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government

BESA Center Perspectives Paper No. 1,920, February 7, 2021

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: Since its establishment in 2005, the Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government (MBRSG), formerly known as the Dubai School of Government, has emerged as a leading school of public policy in the United Arab Emirates. The quality of its researchers and resources, as well as its partnership with Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government, make it a premier Arab institution in the sphere of governance. The MBRSG can play a significant role in steering broader developments in the Middle East and the Arab world.

The main obstacle in the way of the Arab world’s living up to its potential is neither over-devotion to tradition nor overreliance on natural resources. It is the inability of

Watch when Ben Shapiro went from being a local Radio Show Host to National Stardom!

Ben Shapiro was once a reporter and local radio talk show host. One day, he made the trip to his Alma Mater, UCLA, to make a statement against the BDS, a pro-Palestinian movement that supports boycotting Israeli products – especially those made in Judea and Samaria. “I have never been more ashamed to be an alumnus of this university,” Shapiro tells the audience. Shapiro’s audacity and courage made it possible for more Israel supporters to speak up at the BDS hearing. Ultimately, the proposal was voted down. Thank goodness for Ben Shapiro and some healthy Jewish chutzpa!
