Donald Trump y Delcy Rodríguez anuncian un acuerdo que otorga a EE.UU. el control de más del 20% de las reservas de petróleo de Venezuela


El presidente de Estados Unidos, Donald Trump, y la presidenta interina de Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, anunciaron este viernes un acuerdo que otorgaría al país norteamericano el control mayoritario de 17 yacimientos y más de 65.000 millones de barriles de reservas probadas de petróleo venezolano.

Los 65.000 millones de barriles representarían aproximadamente el 21,5% de las reservas probadas de Venezuela, estimadas en unos 303.000 millones por la Administración de Información Energética de EE.UU. (EIA)

También equivaldrían al 141% de las reservas probadas de crudo y condensado de Estados Unidos, que ascendían a 46.000 millones de barriles al cierre de 2024, según la misma agencia.

La paz Israel-Líbano llegará solo con el fin de Hezbolá, dice el Embajador en EEUU


El embajador de Israel en Estados Unidos, Yechiel Leiter, reafirmó el viernes el compromiso de Israel con un alto el fuego en el Líbano.

En una publicación en redes sociales, Leiter también declaró que las relaciones entre Israel y el Líbano solo serán posibles una vez que se elimine a la organización terrorista Hezbolá.

«Israel mantiene su firme compromiso con un alto el fuego inmediato. A las 11:30 de esta mañana, Israel detuvo todas las operaciones ofensivas; las afirmaciones de Hezbolá e Irán en sentido contrario son mentiras descaradas», escribió Leiter.

«Si Hezbolá respeta el acuerdo y cesa sus hostilidades, encontrará paz», subrayó.

(June 12, 2026 / JNS)  Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Friday again vowed that Iran will not be allowed to obtain nuclear weapons on his watch, as Iranian media reported that Tehran will insist on its right to enrich uranium in emerging talks with the United States.

“As long as I am the prime minister of Israel, Iran will not have nuclear weapons,” Netanyahu said in a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office, adding that he and U.S. President Donald Trump “are in full agreement on this issue.”

A major Spanish bank chairman apologized for what he described as an internal compliance misunderstanding after Israeli clients in Spain reported account restrictions and delayed transfers linked to new government measures.

In a letter revealed by The Jerusalem Post, Banco Sabadell chairman Josep Oliu wrote to President Isaac Herzog expressing support for Israel and saying the bank had revised its procedures after some internal teams’ early handling may have created the wrong impression about its treatment of Israeli customers.

Nearly half of all Gazans — 48% — now support the anti-Hamas protests that are steadily gaining momentum and size in the Gaza Strip.

At the same time, Palestinian support for the Hamas invasion and slaughter of Israelis on October 7 is steadily declining.

Israel strikes Qatar in attempt to assassinate Hamas officials

The IDF and the Shin Bet on Tuesday confirmed an attack on the Hamas leadership in Doha, Qatar.

A statement said that the leaders targeted were responsible for the October 7, 2023, massacre of around 1,200 Israelis in the country's South, as well as managing the terror group's operations for years before that.

Khalil al-Hayya, the leader of Hamas, was one of the targets of the operations, an Israeli official confirmed to The Jerusalem Post. His death has not been confirmed.

A senior member of the European Union's executive said the displacement and killing in Gaza looked very much like genocide, the first commissioner to level that accusation and publicly break with the body's position on the conflict.

"If it is not genocide, it looks very much like the definition used to express its meaning," Teresa Ribera - the European Commission's second-highest ranking official - told Politico in an interview published on Thursday.

Several major European picture agencies have stopped working with a Gaza-based photographer after a German documentary revealed he staged an image portraying hunger in the Strip.

Anas Zayed Fteiha, a contributor to Turkey’s state-run Anadolu Agency, was filmed arranging a photo of Palestinian children with outstretched empty bowls – seemingly queuing for food. But a wide-angle shot in the documentary, broadcast by Süddeutsche Zeitung, shows the scene was constructed in an open area with no aid distribution taking place.

While Turkey’s agreement with Germany and the United Kingdom for the purchase of 40 Eurofighter Typhoon fighter jets does not constitute a direct or immediate threat to Israel’s air superiority, it is nonetheless a “headache,” an Israeli official told The Jerusalem Post.

The agreement marks a significant step in Ankara’s ongoing efforts to modernize its military.

Hezbolá estaría considerando un desarme parcial


Hezbolá ha iniciado una importante revisión estratégica tras su devastadora guerra con Israel, que incluye la posibilidad de reducir su papel como movimiento armado sin desarmarse por completo, dijeron 3 fuentes a Reuters.

Las conversaciones internas, que aún no han finalizado ni se han publicado previamente, reflejan las enormes presiones que ha enfrentado la representación iraní desde que se alcanzó una tregua a finales de noviembre.

Las fuerzas israelíes continúan atacando zonas donde el grupo tiene influencia, acusando a Hezbolá de violaciones del alto el fuego, algo que este niega.

Reconstruir Gaza no tiene sentido si no se erradica a Hamás

Mientras los líderes árabes y occidentales siguen debatiendo planes para reconstruir la Franja de Gaza, Hamás, respaldado por Irán, ha rechazado nuevamente desarmarse.

Está claro que el grupo terrorista está decidido a mantener sus armas y su poder, incluso si eso implica privar a los gazatíes de la reconstrucción y de más ayuda humanitaria. Hamás no solo debe ser eliminado del poder, sino que debe desaparecer por completo.

Mientras los líderes árabes y occidentales continúan discutiendo planes para reconstruir la Franja de Gaza, el grupo terrorista palestino Hamás, respaldado por Irán, ha rechazado nuevamente deponer las armas.

Hamás busca poner fin a la guerra manteniendo al mismo tiempo su control militar sobre Gaza, reflejando el dominio que ejercía Hezbollah antes de la guerra en el Líbano. Israel no debe permitir que esto suceda, incluso si Egipto presiona para que así sea.

El objetivo principal de Hamás en este momento es asegurar un alto el fuego para sobrevivir a la guerra, reconstruir su ejército terrorista y consolidar su control político de la Franja de Gaza.

Israel confirmed it had struck numerous military sites during its retaliatory strikes on Iran on Saturday in an operation later named "Days of Repentance."

The attack was declared over by 5:45 a.m., just as the sun began rising over Tehran, according to public broadcaster KAN11.
