Iraq set to ‘execute’ citizens who communicate with Israel

Barbaric new legislation expected to become law, advocating death to anyone contacting Israel or Israelis, as senior Iraqi delegates arrive in London for trade talks.

Iraq is set to introduce a draconian law that would see citizens who communicate with Israelis executed.

News of the barbaric legislation comes as senior Iraqi delegates were due in London this week for a trade conference at which they will be feted by British ministers.

Analysts have highlighted the far-reaching effect of the proposed legislation, which covers foreign nationals in Iraq and Iraqi nationals outside Iraq. The drafting extends to Iraqis visiting Israeli embassies and Israeli-linked organisations overseas.

The moral clarity of Nikki Haley

With her fellow Republicans seemingly unable to produce a coherent vision for America to counter the disaster of the Biden administration, a recent speech was pitch-perfect and received by her conservative London audience like rain in a desert.

He is due to go cap in hand to Saudi Arabia to beg the leader of a state he has publicly reviled as a human rights “pariah,” Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman, to bring oil prices down in order to alleviate the fuel shortage caused by the war in Ukraine.

Trump only wanted to proceed with Abbas’s approval even though Kushner explained that the logic of the deal was “heads you win, tails they lose.”

'The Line': Saudi Arabia reveals ambitious carbon-zero city plan

Fechas coincidentes no casuales

Noa Tishby’s surprisingly welcome splash on the ‘hasbara’ scene

Given her performance to date, the actress, producer and author deserves not only an apology, but accolades, from those who doubted her abilities to serve as Israel’s first-ever Special Envoy for Combating Anti-Semitism and Delegitimization.

Though the 44-year-old actress and producer is also the author of the 2021 book “Israel: A Simple Guide to the Most Misunderstood Country on Earth,” she is best known at home and abroad for her roles in famous TV series.

Israel’s UN ambassador urges Security Council to put its microscope away

Gilad Erdan says the Security Council’s hyper-focus on every minutia of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict completely misses the big picture.

(July 28, 2022 / JNS) Israel’s ambassador to the United Nations had a blunt message for the U.N. Security Council on Tuesday. When it comes to addressing the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, Gilad Erdan said the council, essentially, can’t see the forest for the trees.

At its quarterly open debate on the Israeli-Palestinian file, Erdan slammed the council for focusing their conversations on trivial matters, like municipal rulings or local tribal disputes. He called the approach counterproductive to bottom-up peace efforts and collaborative progress, which he said were possible.

Smiles, handshakes, backslaps and the Acropolis all to himself. Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has landed in Europe – his first trip west since the brutal killing of the journalist Jamal Khashoggi – and on a continent jittering with energy worries, the Saudi royal has received red-carpet treatment.

Human rights concerns aside, the de facto leader of the world’s greatest oil producer has luxuriated in a welcome that only recently may have seemed impossible.
