In landmark deal signed in Cairo, Israel to export natural gas, via Egypt, to Europe
Israel to send fuel to Egypt, which will liquify it for shipping; agreement will help European bloc reduce Russian energy dependence; MOU built with nod to zero emissions targets.
Israel, Egypt and the European Union signed a memorandum of understanding on Wednesday in Cairo that will see Israel export its natural gas to the bloc for the first time.

Embajador de Israel en la ONU es elegido vicepresidente de la Asamblea General
Enlace Judío – El embajador de Israel ante la ONU, Gilad Erdan, fue elegido vicepresidente de la Asamblea General de la ONU, informó The Jerusalem Post.
Erdan asumirá el cargo durante un año a partir de la convocatoria de la Asamblea General en septiembre. Presidirá las reuniones de la Asamblea General y participará en el establecimiento de la agenda para las deliberaciones de la Asamblea General.
“Estoy orgulloso del derecho de representar a Israel en un puesto que está en el centro de lo que está sucediendo en la ONU, y también actuaré a través de él para combatir el sesgo existente en la ONU contra Israel”, dijo Erdan.

Israeli tanks said to destroy Syrian army outpost built in Golan demilitarized zone

Israeli tanks shelled an observation post set up by the Syrian military in a demilitarized part of the Golan Heights early Wednesday morning, Syrian reports said.
According to several local Syrian sources, the outpost near the village of al-Malgah in the Quneitra region was destroyed in the attack.

Netanyahu was ready to give up Golan for peace with Syria, new book claims
A 2011 deal would have required the Assad regime to end its ties to Hezbollah, Hamas and IRGC if it wanted the Golan back.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu considered a deal with Syria that would have seen Israel give up control of the Golan and have a demilitarized zone established along the Jordan river.
The new claim is part of a book by Frederic C. Hof published by United States Institute of Peace called Reaching for the Heights: The Inside Story of a Secret Attempt to Reach a Syrian-Israeli Peace.

Instead, he stated that April 26 should be celebrated as the day that Syrian forces withdrew from Lebanon in 2005, according to a report by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI).

De acuerdo con la Asociación Internacional del Agua el mundo pierde cada día unos 350.000 millones de litros de agua potable por culpa de las fugas.

«Las agencias de inteligencia nacionales alemanas pudieron identificar un aumento significativo de los indicios de intentos de adquisición relacionados con la proliferación por parte de Irán para su programa nuclear», afirma el informe de la Oficina Federal para la Protección de la Constitución (BfV).
