It seems unbelievable, but we are still at war. What began as an invasion from Gaza by the Hamas terrorist group and its associates has ended up being a global war on different fronts, all under the direction of Iran.
Once again, Israel has proven that it is a safe and reliable country for its citizens. Since October 7, 2023, it has received thousands and thousands of rockets, missiles, and drones, and the deaths have been minimal.
It's hard to believe how few casualties it has suffered to date. If you compare its defense forces with those of my country, under normal circumstances thousands and thousands of citizens would have died here, but that hasn't happened in Israel because they take care of their citizens.
Is Israel guilty of this? Of course not, but given how different countries and institutions have responded so far, it seems Israel is guilty of not letting itself be killed.
However, Hamas, in addition to failing to protect its citizens, has blamed Israel for the deaths of Gazans in this war, and the world has taken the Hamas terrorists' claim as absolute truth. This is crazy!
The so-called international community needs to reflect, and the UN in particular, because since its creation in 1946, it has been unable or unwilling to contribute conclusively to this conflict.
What the League of Nations determined in 1920 with the creation of the Mandate for Palestine, granting exclusive political rights to Jews, and what the UN ultimately voted for in 1947, has nothing to do with it.
In 1947, the UN voted to partition Palestine into two states: one Jewish and one Arab. And what at first may have seemed like a solution to the Arab-Israeli conflict has only served to broaden and perpetuate the problem that has continued to this day.
Therefore, it is no longer Gaza, Hebron, or Jenin. The problem lies deeper. This conflict has been allowed and fueled to such a level that there is no turning back now. The international community has covered up its mistakes with bigger mistakes, and those mistakes with even bigger ones, allowing us to reach this war from which Israel is defending itself.
It's time to think carefully. Israel will continue to protect its people, as is logical, and will do everything necessary to do so. And in its efforts, the Jewish state of Israel will not crumble as other neighboring countries have.
We are on the verge of very hard and difficult days for Israel and for those of us who love that nation. We don't know anything concrete about the physical condition of the remaining hostages still being held by Hamas terrorists in Gaza. What will happen to their lives when the IDF fully enters the Gaza Strip?
I'm starting to think about the day after the end of the war in Gaza, because they will have to continue fighting in Judea and Samaria to also clear that other area, since the Palestinian Authority doesn't want to do it, and even though it's their responsibility, it's unauthorized.
Just thinking about it makes me feel exhausted. I can't imagine what the Israelis are like. There's a long road ahead, and I hope they don't lack strength. It's vital that they remain united.
All that remains for me to share with the IDF and the entire population of Israel what I read in the Bible a few days ago in Isaiah 40:28-31.
Don't you know? Haven't you heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not grow weary or faint, and his understanding is unfathomable. He strengthens the weary and increases the power of the weak.Even the youth grow weary and faint, the youth stumble and fall, But those who trust in the Lord will renew their strength; they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
We will continue to pray for Israel, that they may not lack strength and also for peace in Jerusalem.
AM ISRAEL JAI.
