Yesterday over 5,000 CUFI members from every state in the nation met with members of Congress on Capitol Hill. This was the culmination of the 13th annual CUFI DC Summit, where Ambassador Nikki Haley spoke alongside Israel's Ambassador Ron Dermer as we celebrated Israel's 70th birthday as a modern nation.
This year we broke multiple records for our largest and most powerful Summit in CUFI history!
Not only was our general membership attendance higher than ever before, we also had a record-breaking number of CUFI on Campus students. Over 600 students from campuses across the nation were able to receive expert instruction in the biblical and political reasons to support Israel as well as learn how to deal with the specific challenges they face on campus.
We also set a new record with our Congressional appointments. Our members met with 98% of Congress. This extremely high level of access shows that CUFI's 4.3 million members have earned the respect and attention of Congress.
When Pastor Hagee sought to found an organization in 2006 that would awaken the sleeping giant of Christian Zionism, our successes in the last year from passing the Taylor Force Act to moving the US Embassy to Jerusalem prove that his vision has been realized! Thank you for being such an invaluable part of making today's successes possible.
And now, as we look toward what we will do tomorrow and the rest of the year to make Israel stronger and her people safer, we say along with Pastor John Hagee: Full steam ahead!
